Dr. Greg Wheeler
  • Dr. Greg Wheeler has been a life-long learner and a man of action who loves to solve problems.  His desire to diagnose and implement a solution was ignited during his undergraduate years at Virginia Wesleyan College when he earned his bachelors in Mathematics and Computer Science.  This pursuit continues as he earned his Masters in Computer Science from the College of William and Mary.

  • Dr. Wheeler used his skills from his undergraduate and graduate training to solve problems for NASA at Langley Air Force Base in Virginia and assist maintaining the power grid for Mid-American Energy in Iowa as a systems administrator utilizing the latest computer technology.

  • Dr. Wheeler changed his career path following God's direction and entered medical school to continue his passion to learn and solve problems.  He graduated with his Doctorate in Osteopathic Medicine from Des Moines University in Iowa and completed his Emergency Medicine Residency at St. Luke's Hospital in Pennsylvania.

  • Now, as a Board Certified Emergency Medicine Physician, Dr. Wheeler is excited to use all he has learned to keep his patients out of the ED.  In his days and nights in the ED, he had witnessed first hand the brokenness of medicine where the ED has become a primary care clinic because primary doctors just have no time.  Dr. Wheeler's years of experience at a Level 1 Trauma Centers as well as rural hospitals, has resulted in a full spectrum of experience in emergency and primary care medicine.

  • He realizes that the skyrocketing of medical cost as well as the revolving door that the ED has become for our patients with chronic conditions is rooted in our system that has often handcuffed the doctor-patient relationship.  Dr. Wheeler has chosen the Direct Primary Care model of practice because he wants to spend the time necessary with each patient so that he can dive deep into root cause analysis of their pathological conditions.

  • Only by taking time and effort to dive deep into the patient's ailment, and honoring the relationship of trust with the patient can the physician find satisfactory solutions.  Dr. Wheeler is laser focused on making wellness the bedrock of medicine so that he can keep his patients out of the ED and keep them enjoying all aspects of good health.

Dr. Chamanie Wheeler
  • Dr. Chaminie Wheeler is a true pediatrician at heart and sees life as full of unicorns and rainbows.  It was this life outlook in high school that propelled her to pursue medicine as Dr. Wheeler was a volunteer for "Happy Club" where their sole purpose was to fundraiser for Operation Smile so children all over the world could smile no matter the their congenital deformities.

  • Even as Dr. Wheeler completed her undergraduate years at Virginia Wesleyan College earning a double major in Mathematics and Biology, her passion to become a pediatrician was unwavering.  Her love for logic and reason that her Mathematics major offered coupled with intellectual curiosity of how the human body works and develops that her Biology major offered further inspired her to seek medicine.

  • Dr. Wheeler graduated with her Doctorate in Osteopathic Medicine from Des Moines University in Iowa and her passion to be a pediatrician came to fruition as she completed her Pediatric Residency at  Blank Children's Hospital in Iowa.

  • As a Board Certified Pediatrician, Dr. Wheeler has vast clinical experiences that include Pediatric Emergency Medicine, Pediatric and Neonatal Hospital Medicine as well as acute care management of high risk deliveries.  She has especially appreciated and helped find solutions to the most challenging of pediatric cases.  She adores children and has been a child advocate throughout her years of practice.

  • Dr. Wheeler's efforts in child advocacy have expanded to include social advocacy to restore trust in medicine which she believes must be grounded in the physician-patient covenant relationship.  She is passionate that her patients have choice and control over their own healthcare and their healthcare dollars.  She understand that price transparency will foster free market and increase choice for our patients.  She wants all healthcare decisions for her patients to be made within the bounds of patient health and benefit and should never be dictated by insurance or useless protocols.

  • To cultivate this needed change in healthcare, Dr. Wheeler has chosen Direct Primary Care to be the model for serving her patients.  She wants to foster their growth and development holistically for these children such that wellness becomes the bedrock of medicine... which she still sees as full of unicorns and rainbows!
