A Closer Look at One Big Beautiful Bill (OBBB)

Dear CCC Health Family,

At CCC Health, we believe real healthcare security doesn’t come from more bureaucracy; it comes from trust that is rooted in a real relationship between patient and physician.

That’s why we’re taking a closer look at the One Big Beautiful Bill Act (OBBB) - a sweeping, 1,100-page law that touches nearly every area of American life: healthcare, taxes, education, immigration, defense, and more. 

At its heart, OBBB shifts power away from insurance companies and back to where it belongs: you and your doctor. It expands Health Savings Accounts (HSAs) to cover Direct Primary Care (DPC), supports CHOICE Arrangements for families, and strengthens eligibility standards for Medicaid and the ACA. All of these items reinforce freedom, liberty and individual choice. 

Some call OBBB a budget cut but we see it as a step toward restoring healthcare through relationships and personal responsibility. 

That said, no reform comes without trade-offs, especially with a government this size. OBBB is expected to add $651 billion to the national deficit over 10 years and raises the debt ceiling by $4–$5 trillion to avoid default. From our understanding, this increase covers spending already in motion by both Democrats and Republicans. HSA expansion and CHOICE offer more freedom, but they must be matched by financial stewardship to protect future generations. 

Still, this moment matters.

• The Independent Physician Movement is growing here in the Lehigh Valley and surrounding counties through Valley IHP

• The Independent Practicing Physician Section (IPPS) within the Pennsylvania Medical Society.

• The nationwide growth of DPC practices by 241%

Now, with tools like expanded HSAs, it’s time to launch the Patient Movement by our Nation's 250th Birthday and restore the Covenant of Trust in medicine → one patient at a time.
